About Us

Angela & Leah O’Meara:

We have owned and loved pets all our life. We grew up in a small country town in North Queensland, where as a young girls we owned all types of animals including birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, fish and my favourite: dogs.

Opening a doggy business was a natural progression for us, we're strong believers in working around your passion for true happiness and job satisfaction. Dogs are part of our daily routine, to us, they're family.

Over the years, we have saved the lives of countless lost, abandoned and injured dogs and wildlife from our roads. We have also fostered many animals until a good home could be found. This is the industry that we belong in and am truly passionate about.

   
Qualifications:

We’re accredited Dog Trainers with a Certificate in Dog Behaviour & Training through the National Dog Trainers Federation of Australia. This qualification is nationally recognized and covers all aspects of dog behaviour and training, including: positive reinforcement, body language, solving behavioural problems and more. We also have a current Police Check which you may view upon request.

We’re also an accredited member/volunteer of the Delta Society: Pet Partners Programme.

Delta Society Australia is a non-profit organization that promotes the social, physical and emotional benefits of positive interaction between people and companion animals by visiting children’s and adult hospitals, rehabilitation units and nursing homes.  Our beautiful dog ‘Dana’ was trained and rigorously assessed for temperament and personality prior to accreditation for the program and I was also given professional training.

Charity Work:

We have volunteered& fostered for many shelters and rescue organizations including the ‘Animal Welfare League” & RSPCA.  The following are animal rights causes that we are actively involved with and support:

We believe we have a natural instinct and connection with animals. We have great respect and admiration for all living things, and believe the companionship and unconditional love you receive from dogs is one of the most rewarding experiences you’ll ever have. We consider it a privilege to share our life with this wonderful and intelligent species.
